Principal’s Report

  • Dr. Bala thanked everyone for all their hard work this year! And for Staff Appreciation Breakfast

President’s Report

  • Vote conducted for President’s based on 4/12/26 nominations for President of Jennifer Ranum & Nanci Romano all attendee’s approved.
  • President’s position will be being held next year by Jen & Nanci
  • Next year’s calendar (School year 2026-2027)
    • PTCO meeting days are 2nd Tuesday of the month
    • Aug. 18, Sep. 8, Oct. 6 (one week early due to Fall Break), Nov. 10, Dec. 8, Jan 12, Feb 9, March 9, April 13, May 11
    • Events with PTCO Participation or sponsorship
      • TBD – Back to school night (PTCO has a table to inform parents)
      • TBD – Freshman Night
      • Monday, Aug. 17 –  First Day of School 
      • TBD – Homecoming Dance (we handle concessions, coat check)
      • Saturday, Nov 7 – Fall Craft Fair (concessions)
      • Thursday, Dec. 10 – Teacher Appreciation Luncheon

      • Saturday, March 6 – Spring Craft Fair

Treasurer’s Report

  • We have $17,046.52 in bank 
  • Checks have cleared for After Prom and most other expenses
  • We still are awaiting a deposit for ticket sales for Prom, should be around $6K
  • We will be about $23K range at the end of this year
  • We will have $13-$15K in teacher grants, which is what we gave out this last year
  • We had a lot of expenses this year and not as many donations
  • Heather and Jen will figure out budget for upcoming year
  • Still have to reconcile April expenses
  • We spent $1200 in Teacher Appreciation Breakfast
    • We had  $390 in donations compared to $637 in donations last year for Teacher Appreciation
  • We spent more this year for every event than what we spent last year, and we had fewer donations. We had to spend more of our reserves in order to have these events. 
    • We got $500 in donations for After Prom this year 
    • We got $190 in donations for Winter Dance
    • Although donations may be off by $1000 last year if we’re only looking at Pay Pal because we allowed vendors to pay for the Craft Fair booths via PayPal last year

Business Report

  •  Staff appreciation Breakfast – May 7th
    • Good: Fast and easy. We were mostly done by 9 am. Next year we should aim to have everything set up and start at 7:30. But get there early to make the coffee! We also got 10 dozen donuts donated by Dunkin Donuts!
    • Bad: New Coffee maker overflowed, plugging in second one also short circuited and it turned off both coffee makers and we had no idea. So we were late to get coffee for the breakfast. We should also ask for donations of juice and pastries. 
    • The fridge is clean – all leftover sodas were left in staff lounge fridge.Freezer still has some soup and sausages. Leftover food in the fridge are mostly unopened condiments, which we could use for fall dance or fall craft fair.
    • We should inventory supplies at the beginning of next year, including cups.
  • Senior Celebration
    • Crappy weather the day before but the day was beautiful!
    • Held at the Upper Ball Field 
    • There were tons of food. Scott (the school) paid for Chick Fil A and pizza
    • PTCO provided donuts in the beginning and plenty of desserts. We also supplied water and soda, pasta salad, leftover snacks from the Spring Craft Fair (chips, goldfish), and paper products. tablecloths. If it had been hotter day, we would have needed more water but it was not too bad. 
    • SignUp Genius will have account of what we asked for in donations and volunteers. Volunteers are needed to put the food out and control the crowd. You’ll have to work closely with the new activities director (Justin Tretten, English teacher) to get this going. 
    • Still looking for Senior Celebration Chair but Melissa & Jen will be helping next year since both have seniors next year. It’s easy to get volunteers since parents like to come to that.
