PTCO – Minutes

Call to Order –Tracy Doyle; meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM MT
- Attendance – Attendance sheet was passed around for everyone to sign in – see attendance sheet
- Officer’s Report:
- President’s Report – Tracy Doyle
- Homecoming – Estimated to be around 1,400 attendees. All present thanked the volunteers as well as those who donated to make this a successful event.
- No attendees needed for the Parent’s Council Board meeting on 9/25/24 as all that need training have attended previous years and are trained.
- Treasurer’s Report – Jen Ranum
- Homecoming Finances – monetary donations were $485.03. All monetary donations went to purchase supplies/food for the event.
- Parent’s Council on 9/11/24 follow up:
- Discussed the pathways available to all Cherry Creek Students, including CCIC as well as the CCSD Future Educator Program. For more information please visit: https://www.cherrycreekschools.org/domain/4827 Pathways / Homepage
- Bond measures 4A and 4B were discussed. The Council is asking all PTCO’s for donations to assist in getting information out to the voters regarding these measures. A motion was made for a $200.00 donation from our PTCO. All present voted and the motion passed. For more information about 4A and 4B please visit: https://cherrycreekfuture.com/
- Library Funds Reallocation: The funds from last year’s budget will be used to purchase The Beanstack Library Program.
- Grant Stimulus: October 25, 2024 is the due date for applications. The applications will be sent out as soon as possible.
- Principal’s Report – Guest in place of Dr. Andre Bala, Mr. Christopher Ness, Assistant Principal
- The school thanked the PTCO and all the volunteers for a successful Homecoming Dance.
- The PTCO storage area on the second floor will be ready by end of day on September 20, 2024.
- An elevator key was requested.
- The second floor room as well as the room on the first floor will be re-keyed, but it could take time as there is a backup in the district for this service.
- Update on the “no-cell phone” policy: Mr. Ness is receiving positive feedback and states it is still a work in progress and is working with staff and students to continually monitor the policy.
- All PTCO board members and/or PTCO volunteers that do not have an ID badge need to fill out the form available within the RAPTOR program in order to be provided one by the school.
- Secretary’s Report – Tatum Foster, Minutes for August 2024 were reviewed and approved.
- Current Business:
- Reminder of the Fall Parent Teacher Conferences on September 19, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:30 pm. A table for the PTCO will be available.
- Dave Madril is working on developing the structure for The PTCO Sponsorship program.
- Fast Signs is working on a quote for a PTCO banner as well as a banner for the Fall Craft Fair.
- The Fall Craft fair will be on November 2, 2024 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. More details to come.
